  • Traditional Southern gentleman — principled, courteous.
  • Occasionally dryly humorous.
  • Deeply rooted in faith and commitment to family and community.

BACKSTORY

Knows the history of Silver Pines and what the town stands to lose when a powerful real estate developer threatens to take control of Wheeler's Auto, the community's largest employer and a vital East Coast center for mobility vehicle conversions. Becomes an important ally to Martha Wheeler and the Wheeler's Auto family as the conflict escalates — not looking for a fight, but won't back down when the people he serves are threatened. Also develops a meaningful relationship with Sarah Becker, a country singer stranded in Silver Pines — initially protective and skeptical of the celebrity outsider, he gradually sees her genuine heart and willingness to become part of the community. His scenes with Sarah bring humor, wisdom, faith, and emotional depth.
What a “supporting lead” looks like here. Both Martha and Tom sit below the principal in the call sheet but carry spotlight episodes — their arcs are independent of the lead, and either can carry a scene on their own.
